You should hopefully not have to move just files and reconstruct everything from scratch. It would also hopefully provide a way to import the time line with starting tempo and meter, tempo changes, meter changes, and locators. all intact, so that everything is the same. I would hope that Cubase allows you to import entire tracks with its automation, plug-ins, alternate playlists (or lanes), pan settings, routings, etc. I'd rather avoid moving files to a new project, at least for now, as this would mean damn lots of time consuming rework (automation/plugs settings etc.), so I leave it as a last resort. Sample rate is definitely not a problem, as all the projects I've been working on recently are 44.1. I also have to say that I haven't used any dodgy/unchecked plugs that I hadn't used before, so this shouldn't be a case neither. I've already tried: saving the project under different names, disable some plugins, frozen some audio tracks.

My setup: PC Intel Core 2 Quad q6600 2.4 GHz, Win Xp Pro SP2, DAW: Cubase 5.1, INTERFACE: M-Audio PROFIRE 610 (using a proper driver from m-audio). There's no vst instruments in the mentioned project, only wave files +dynamics/effects (sends and inserts obviously). I have few, slightly different instances of this project, saved under the different names - and it is happening to all of them. I'm not facing this problem with any other project.
It has definitely nothing to do with ins/outs connections, I'm familiar with that staff and its all fine. I put a lot of work into it and was on finalizing stage, just had some final touches/subtle automation staff left and today when loaded the project up it just stopped working.Īll meters stay still and there's no sound coming out.
